Teaching is not just a job, it is a vocation that requires continuous growth and development, throughout your career. The best teachers are those who do it because they have a passion for sharing knowledge, inspiring young minds, and helping to positively impact on the education of every child who steps into their classroom. The South Yorkshire Teaching Hub will help you understand what you can expect before, during, and after your initial teacher training.

You may think that once you’ve passed your Initial Teacher Training (ITT), gained Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and progressed to becoming an Early Career Teacher, that your learning days are over. In reality, it’s not only your students who are continuously learning; you will also be on an ongoing educational journey. To be a great teacher you’ll need to be at the top of your game – reading the latest research and undertaking Professional Development (CPD).

Our hub is dedicated to providing our teachers with the latest development, resources, opportunities and news.
