Sheffield Teacher Training Alliance (STTA) is one of the biggest and longest established partners in teacher training in South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire, bringing 100+ newly trained teachers into the profession every year, via their network of 60+ schools.
At the heart of STTA sits Silverdale School which was named the Sunday Times Secondary School of the North for the Decade in 2020. It also leads the South Yorkshire Teaching Hub. As part of Chorus Education Trust, they believe that collaboration is key to their success, hence their large network of school partners. Whilst they provide teacher training courses in a wide range of subjects, they also founded the National Modern Languages SCITT which provides teacher training for modern languages across England.
