Saint Pius X Catholic High School is a well-regarded 11-16 school which was rated Good by OFSTED in March 2018.

The Governors are seeking to appoint two positions of Teaching Assistants at St Pius X Catholic High School to work across the age and ability range. We are seeking to appoint energetic and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work in the Learning Support Department.  The successful applicants will support students across the age and ability range, with a variety of SEN.

The successful applicants will be expected to work within an experienced team of Teaching Assistants led by the SEND Manager and provide support for individuals or groups of children with identified learning needs, both in and out of the classroom.  Duties will include assisting the teaching staff in planning cycle and preparation of resources.

The successful applicants would be required to have accredited qualifications in literacy and numeracy (level 2).  Efficient in use of IT systems.  They must have the ability to work as an effective team member, be well organised and have the ability to communicate with young people and adults in a constructive and effective way.
