Teaching Assistant Level 3 – Humanities (History)
Newfield School is seeing to appoint a curriculum intervention assistant. The post will include not only in class support predominantly in History lessons but may support or run intervention in other literacy based subjects on occasion. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with Departments to ensure rapid and sustained progress of the students they work with. Part of this will include initial assessment of new starters to the school to ensure that the correct programme is put into place for them from day one.
You will be passionate about History, reading, developing young learners and committed to your future career, probably as a secondary school teacher. This role would be perfect for candidates that would like to gain as much experience as possible in a school prior to starting a career in teaching.
This is a challenging position that requires a very disciplined and organised applicant. Each day will bring new challenges and hurdles but should provide immense satisfaction as you see the progress their students make.
