Sports Teaching Assistant

The Governors of Mosborough Primary School are seeking to appoint a Sports Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join our team. Initially this position will be for a year and will be subject to a financial review. The role will be split between traditional in-class teaching assistant support and playing a significant role in sport development. We are looking for a talented, hardworking individual who could fulfil this dual role. We would expect that the successful candidate will support the development of sport across our school by working with class teachers to deliver high-quality PE lessons. They will also work at lunchtimes organising sports activities and run after school clubs, playing an active role within our competitions both during and after school.

Another aspect of the role will be supporting classes and delivering interventions linked to both English and maths. We envisage an even split of time between sport and other curriculum activities. You will be allocated to a phase and be managed jointly by the Phase Leader and PE Lead.

We envisage the successful candidate will have a love of sport and be able to demonstrate an interest in coaching, coupled with experience of working in school with children.
