Safeguarding Liaison Officer
Lowfield Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated and committed individual to the role of Safeguarding Liaison Officer (SLO).
The SLO will support the safeguarding team with child protection matters and will lead, across the school on supporting and engaging with vulnerable and/or disadvantaged children and their families. Duties will also involve overseeing aspects of the school’s child protection system, dealing with referrals to/from other agencies, developing strategies to promote good attendance and working with children and their families to offer support and guidance to parents on how best to support their children’s education.
The position requires candidates to be excellent at written and verbal communication, to be able to work in a sensitive manner (due to the nature of some of the matters being dealt with) and to be computer literate. The post is ideally suited to someone with drive, resilience and determination and someone who rises to a challenge. The post offers an excellent opportunity for someone who is keen to join a strong pastoral team within a thriving multicultural school.
