Play Leader/Lunchtime Supervisor

Rivelin Primary School provides a happy and secure environment for children. The governors are looking to appoint a Lunchtime Supervisor/Play Leader. This role is to ensure the safety, welfare, and good conduct of the children during lunchtime. Duties will be on the playground and in classrooms if the weather is wet.

You will be responsible for leading play activities along with the existing Play Leaders. During the times when the children are not out playing you will be directed to support in classes, you will also be given time to meet with the play leaders to discuss ideas for playtime activities.

The successful candidate will:

• Able to supervise the children at lunchtimes in the playground and the dining room and will be required to contribute to the development of a positive approach to lunchtime play
• Be reliable, versatile, a team player and enjoy working with children aged from 5 years to 11 years
• Be enthusiastic about taking part in activities with children over the lunchtime period including first aid.
