Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant

St Thomas More Catholic Primary a looking to recruit a temporary Lunchtime Supervisor. The position is temporary for approximately 8 months, to join the experienced team who are responsible for supervising children and leading play activities during the lunchtime break. Hours of work are 1 hour per day over the lunchtime period 12pm–1 pm. Applicants must be able to work well as part of a hard-working team and be able to work on their own initiative, to ensure that the children are safe and to maintain excellent standards of behaviour. Good verbal communication skills are essential for this role in order to liaise with children and other staff members. The successful candidate will need to be reliable and dedicated and contribute to the development of a positive approach to lunchtime play; organise and take part in activities with children over the lunchtime period; supervise pupils immediately before, during and after the midday meal. Applicants should be willing to join in games, oversee quiet activities and supervise children having free play in the school playground.
