LTS – Lunch Time Supervisor

The children, staff and Governors of Prince Edward Primary School are eager to appoint a temporary Mid-day Supervisory Assistant to supervise children (3 to 11 years old) before, during and after their lunch time meal. They are looking for a responsible caring adult who has the health, safety, and welfare of the children always in mind at all times. Duties include supervising children at mealtimes – encouraging children to eat healthily & providing some social and educational support, such as good table manners and kindness to each other. The role also includes overseeing children in the playground or during wet play and monitoring the safety and suitability of activities, including promoting excellent hygiene care.

The successful candidate will show:

• enjoyment of working with children and the ability to manage and supervise them
• patience
• good communication skills
• the ability to work as part of a team
• promotion of positive behaviour
