Level 2 Teaching Assistant

The Holt House and Carterknowle Schools Federation is looking for a teaching assistant to join our staff team from 1 Sept 2021 to 31 August 2022, to be based at Carterknowle Junior School.

Candidate Requirements

• You will need to have experience of working with KS2 children and supporting them effectively.
• You will be expected to be skilled in working with individuals, with small groups and in supporting the teacher with the whole class.
• You will need to have high expectations for what junior children can achieve both in their learning and in their independence, while being able to provide good pastoral support and care.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills are essential for this post.

Carterknowle Junior School is a lovely school with wonderful children who are eager to learn.  We are committed to meeting children’s individual learning needs, working in partnership with parents and carers.  Breaktime supervision is part of this role.  The hours of working are Wednesday, Thursdays and Fridays: 8.30am – 12.45pm (with a 15 min break).
