Level 2 Teaching Assistant

The Governors at Abbey Lane are looking to appoint, to start as soon as possible, a Level 2 Teaching Assistant to work in KS1.

The successful candidates will care about making a difference to the outcomes of children and contributing to the wider school community.  They will need to be a team player who is able to multitask effectively, motivate others and demonstrate a commitment to achieving high standards.  They will support the classroom teacher with their responsibility for the development of pupils’ learning, the provision of care and the management of pupils’ behaviour under the guidance of teaching staff/senior colleagues and assist with first aid and other associated school tasks.

Successful candidates will have experience of working with children in KS1 and need to be:
• Motivated
• Creative
• Innovative
• Imaginative

You must enjoy working with children, be committed to help raise their achievement and be capable of promoting good behaviour strategies.  Applicants must hold a NVQ Level 2 qualification for Teaching Assistants or equivalent education-based qualification.
