Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant

Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant to work in Upper Key Stage 2

Responsible to:  Working under the instruction/guidance of teaching staff

 Main Purpose

To support the teaching and learning in a Y5 and Y6 class under the instruction/guidance of the teaching staff. This will include working with individual children and groups of children both inside and outside the classroom.

General

Post holders will be required to possess at least NVQ 2 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent qualifications

The successful applicant must have the following:

•  Excellent standards of maths and English
• Recent experience, knowledge and expertise of working in upper key stage 2
• Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
• High expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour
