L1 Learning Support Assistant (2 Posts)

Oakwood High School is an over-subscribed 11-16 High School.  With a strong emphasis on respect for all, they forge effective and supportive relationships with both pupils and adults in their learning community.  Together they maximise every opportunity to achieve success for all, inspiring pupils to achieve excellent academic progress.  They are a Good school with ‘Outstanding Leadership and Management’ at all levels. They are looking for committed and enthusiastic staff able to show an understanding of, and sensitivity to, the needs and feelings of pupils who experience difficulties. The successful applicants will have the skills required to work positively and proactively with pupils to support them to progress their learning.  Candidates must have GCSE A*-C in English, Maths and Science or their equivalents. The successful candidates will have high aspirations for the pupils’ success and contribute in this supportive role to securing an outstanding learning experience for all pupils. Candidates must ensure that their referees are available and willing to provide a reference at short notice.
