The Governors of All Saints Catholic High School wish to appoint an experienced, highly motivated and organised person to join the school in the role of Finance Manager. This role is pivotal to the organisation, with responsibility for the overall leadership and management of our finance functions. The school has several unique features, including being co-located with another school and working with a commercial sports company. In this varied and interesting role you will be leading a small, hardworking, professional finance team; you will be making strategic decisions that will have an impact across the school and therefore we are looking for candidates who are comfortable working autonomously and can demonstrate that they are a high performing team player. You will need excellent communication skills and have the ability to successfully manage key priorities, planning your own and others’ workload, especially when under pressure or a deadline. Recent experience as a School Finance Manager is not essential but a willingness to learn quickly will be important. A strong financial acumen is required and you should hold a CCAB Accountancy qualification; a Finance/Business or Related Discipline Degree is also desirable, but not essential. You should have a good understanding of funding systems and DFE/ESFA guidance. Good knowledge of SIMS FMS would also be an advantage.
