Cascade Multi Academy Trust is seeking to appoint a Finance Manager to join the Trust. The successful candidate will work as part of the Central Team, across the whole Trust.

They are looking for an enthusiastic, dedicated and ambitious individual who has experience of working in finance, to join the forward thinking well respected and expanding Trust.  You will be an integral part of the Central Team, with great visibility and exposure, working hand in hand with the Chief Officer, Finance & Operations, and the Senior Leadership Teams in each of the schools. The role will provide essential support to the COFO; and, support and direction to the Business Support Managers.

Key duties will include assisting with all the academies annual and three-year budget plans, overseeing the month end processes, producing monthly budget and cash forecasts, producing management reports with variance analysis for Trustees. You will also be responsible for managing the Trust’s payroll system. This involves working closely with stakeholders to add financial awareness to their decision making and deliver outcomes that are in line with the Trust Financial objectives. You must be able to both deliver to deadlines and manage your own workload.

The Trust is seeking a highly motivated AAT or part qualified finance manager with a strong background in financial and management accounting.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in academy finance as well as excellent communication and people management skills. Consideration will be given to finance professionals from outside the sector who are suitably qualified and can demonstrate a genuine interest in education.
