Designated Safeguarding Lead
Required for September 2021.
The Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) will be responsible for monitoring, evaluating and leading improvements in all aspects of safeguarding and behaviour and safety, to ensure that the school operates within the legislative framework, recommended guidance and that both students and staff within school are safe and cared for. The Designated Safeguarding Lead will work closely with the Deputy Headteacher (DSL trained) for PDBW.
Specific responsibilities of this post will include:
- Acting upon safeguarding concerns raised by staff, students and external stakeholders and ensuring that multi-agency referrals are made and coordinated as necessary, to ensure students are safe and protected from harm.
- Leading the education and training of students and staff in relation to safeguarding, behaviour and safety.
- Championing inclusive practice by ensuring that timely and effective interventions enable all students to reach their full potential.
- Communicating and quality assuring all aspects of safeguarding and ensuring appropriate bodies are fully informed of outcomes.
This is a non-teaching post.

Salary: NJC Band I: Point 28 £32,234 to Point 31 £34,728 gross per annum pro rata
