Forge Valley School are seeking to appoint a professional and enthusiastic colleague for the role of Designated Safeguarding Deputy. Applicants should be flexible, able to work on their own initiative and have the ability to prioritise to meet demands and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. This varied role offers the opportunity to support the Designated Safeguarding Lead. The successful applicant will help develop and implement safeguarding and child protection policies; work with young people and their families to promote their welfare; respond appropriately to disclosures or concerns and raise awareness of safeguarding and child protection in the whole school community.
Applicants must have experience of working with young people, preferably with a strong background of child protection work, and be able to build effective and positive relationships with all in the community. They are looking for a good communicator who will be totally committed to the welfare of pupils.
