Design and Technology Technician

Sheffield Springs Academy is seeking to appoint a Design and Technology Technician. The academy is part of United Learning, a national group of schools and academies. Sheffield Springs Academy is an 11-16 secondary school serving the Park, Manor and Castle wards of Sheffield.

They are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and dedicated Technician to join the Design and Technology Department. Applicants should have a proven track record of providing support and preparation for the teaching staff in the department to enable them to plan and teach, as well as be committed to supporting a range of students from a wide range of ethnic and social backgrounds in order to ensure they make sufficient progress.

The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of maintenance and Health and Safety, as well as preparation of materials and resources and will manage ordering and replacement of stock and items. Experience of operating machinery is an integral part of the role and training will be provided for the successful candidate.
