Curriculum Specialist (Speech and Language) (temporary for one year) Anns Grove Primary School and Westways Primary School
This post can be full time working across two schools or part time in either school pro rata and term time only.
Start date: 1st September 2021 – 31st August 2022

We are looking to appoint a curriculum specialist with a Speech & Language qualification to work within our school if part time or two schools if full time.
This is an exciting role, put in place to support pupils following lockdown to help meet the needs of all children but in particular Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1. The successful candidate will need to be confident in planning, delivering and assessing the impact of speech and language interventions in addition to enabling colleagues to develop children’s communication skills.
We are looking for a candidate with the appropriate speech and language qualification who is interested in helping children and young people to achieve the very best they can. School-based experience and/or experience of working with children is desirable. You will need to be self-motivated, organised and able to manage and prioritise a caseload. You will work alongside the school SENCo.
Ideal Candidate
- Holds a relevant Speech and Language qualification
- has paediatric/ school experience
- has experience teaching small group sessions in Social Skills
- is comfortable planning and teaching these sessions.

Salary: Grade 5, sp 20 £25,991 (pro-rata) - Actual salary £19440
Location: Westways Primary School
Contract Type: Temporary for 1 Year
Hours Per Week: 37 hours 39 weeks per year
