Cover Supervisor

About the Role 

• Oasis Academy, Don Valley are looking to recruit a Cover Supervisor with a passion for teaching and learning who will act as an advocate for all of our students and who holds a firm belief that all children can achieve.
• Working within the Academy, helping to provide learning support for students of all abilities.
• To provide supervision of students in the absence of the Subject Teacher or Advisory Tutor.

You will have a strong, clear vision for education, ensuring that barriers to learning are removed so that all students at Oasis Academy Don Valley can make good progress.

You will be responsible for the supervision of lessons, including the entry and dismissal of classes during the short-term absence of a teacher.

•    When a teacher is on ‘Academy Business.’
•    When a teacher is on In-service training.
•    When a teacher is absent owing to a medical appointment/compassionate leave/personal leave etc.

At other times you will be required to offer support and interventions to students as required.

You will support us in establishing a healthy safe, caring environment where every child can reach their potential. You will set high expectations and help to inspire all our students to have a love of learning and to challenge our young people to think in new ways.
