Casual Sports Coach

Minerva Learning trust are looking to hire a Casual Sports Coach to work at Handsworth Grange Community Sports College. The main duties of the role are:

  • Planning and delivering curriculum and extra curriculum activity and work within Forge SSP.
  • Organising and providing safe and purposeful coaching sessions.
  • Liaising with Forge SSP staff and relevant partners for successful implementation and delivery.
  • Guiding and encouraging 5-16 year olds to make appropriate decisions about further participation in sport at a level appropriate to their ability.
  • Identification of the needs of individual groups.
  • Assist in the coordination and delivery of competition and festival opportunities where appropriate.
  • Ensure equitable access of delivery for all.
  • Undertake relevant monitoring and evaluation of projects and sessions.
  • Help forge school club links.
  • Attend relevant training and professional development opportunities.
  • Gain a range of National Governing Body (NGB) coaching qualifications.
  • Plus other duties may be required of you from time-to-time
