The Governors of Ecclesfield Primary School are seeking to appoint a well motivated, honest, reliable, enthusiastic and conscientious person who is able to use their own initiative in carrying out a wide range of duties at the school.
The successful candidate will be required to develop good working relationships with the children, staff, parents, local residents, contractors, SCC departments and visitors to the school, and must have a genuine concern for maintaining the buildings and site as a safe, secure and clean school environment.
Duties include security of the premises, procurement of services, maintenance of fixtures and fittings, line management of the team of cleaners, monitoring of performance and standards of both of cleaning staff and contractors, oversee Health and Safety with regard to statutory obligations.
Successful candidates should have a good knowledge of building maintenance and preferably have some experience in this area. They should also have a good awareness of health and safety regulations and be able to respond to emergencies effectively. A willingness to undertake training when necessary is also essential.
