Abbeyfield Primary Academy is a Sheffield school for pupils aged 3-11 years rated Good by Ofsted in June 2019 and is part of Five Rivers Multi Academy Trust which has outcomes for children at the forefront of its vision.
They are now seeking to appoint a highly motivated, passionate, enthusiastic and conscientious person who is able to work on their own initiative in carrying out a wide range of duties.
The successful candidate will be required to develop strong working relationships with children, staff, parents, local residents, contractors, SCC departments and visitors to the school, and must have a genuine passion for maintaining the buildings and site as a safe, secure and clean school environment.
Duties include :
- security of the premises
- procurement of services
- maintenance of fixtures and fittings
- line management of the team of cleaning staff and contractors, with the addition of some cleaning duties.
Successful candidates will have a good knowledge of building maintenance and preferably have some experience in this area (e.g. plumbing/carpentry skills).
You will have a good awareness of health and safety regulations and be able to respond to emergencies effectively. Sound ICT skills and a willingness to undertake training when necessary is also essential.
