Since our establishment in 2021 we have been honoured to represent, support, advocate and celebrate the fantastic work that schools do across Sheffield and Rotherham. We’ve built strong partnerships with schools and trusts through our work with the delivery of Initial Teacher Training (ITT) (through our Sheffield Teacher Training Alliance – STTA and the National Modern Languages SCITT provision), the Early Career Framework (ECF), our Appropriate Body (AB) service, National Professional Qualifications (NPQ) and sharing CPD opportunities.

We’re so excited to continue our work for the next four years and we look forward to maintaining and building upon our relationships with schools and partners to support, recruit, develop and retain the very best teachers and leaders in our amazing profession, ultimately improving the outcomes of our young people, within the Sheffield and Rotherham area.

Key achievements since our first designation:

• We have welcomed 452 ITT trainees.
• Delivered our ECF programme to 717 early career teachers (ECTs).
• Provided statutory support to 1,295 ECTs through our AB service.
• Delivered NPQs to 531 participants.
• We have worked with 288 schools across our region and 249 schools nationwide.
